Located inside the Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum, CAFE1894 is a stunningly restored space that once served as a bank’s main hall in the Meiji era. The café faithfully recreates its original 1894 design using photographs, blueprints, and preserved materials from the time. The result is a breathtaking two-story hall with soaring ceilings, arched windows, and an atmosphere filled with classic elegance and quiet grandeur.

For lunch, I chose the Niçoise Salad, followed by Pan-fried Sea Bream with Herb Pistou and Tapenade Sauce — light yet flavorful, with a beautiful presentation that matched the sophistication of the space. Dessert was the highlight: a Cézanne-inspired Apple Clafoutis with Fromage Cream, a perfect balance of art and flavor.

Dining here feels like stepping back in time — surrounded by history, art, and timeless design. After lunch, I recommend visiting the museum’s exhibitions to complete the cultural experience.
