While the Picasso Exhibition was drawing crowds, we decided to explore the museum’s permanent collection instead—and what a treat!
For just ¥500, you get access to an impressive lineup of Western masterpieces, including works by Monet, Rodin, and Van Gogh. The collection is beautifully curated and perfect for a slow, thoughtful visit.

After the art, we headed to the museum café “Suiren” for some well-deserved sweets. The best part? You can enjoy dessert while overlooking the serene courtyard garden—a hidden oasis in the heart of Ueno.
