Only after visiting did I realize that Wuzhen's relaxed vibe comes from the neighboring Wucun Village

My impression of the Jiangnan water town
should be exactly like Wuzhen🚣
Sitting in a wooden boat slowly drifting through the canals,
with gentle white walls and black tiles on both sides,
that sense of comfort and romance can heal all fatigue.
But don’t just focus on touring Wuzhen,
the neighboring Wucun Village is truly a paradise for relaxing and taking kids out.

Tongxiang Station / Jiaxing South
Wuzhen has East Gate, West Gate, and North Gate areas. You can head straight to the West Gate, which is the essence of Wuzhen, with small bridges, flowing water, and riverside homes.
Wucun Village is the place in Wuzhen suitable for family trips or leisure entertainment. The comprehensive service experience is really perfect for kids’ summer camps.

1⃣ West Gate
▪ Morning Tea Guests: 7:30-9:30, the lively atmosphere of morning tea, breakfast by the river, and street vendors calling out.
▪ Night View: As the sun sets and the lights come on in the West Gate, the night boat ride on the wooden boat has a special charm. The extended stone-paved path is a great place for a post-dinner stroll.
2⃣ Wucun Village
▪ Wucun Daoshe: Different from the outside villages, this place has a modern and comfortable atmosphere. The lobby often features piano performances 🎹. There are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a buffet on the first floor serving freshly picked fruits and vegetables within the hour, a toy museum, basketball court, badminton court. You can do crafts or graffiti with your kids here, make mosquito repellent, stone bead strings, and palm fans by hand. The bookstore on the first floor occasionally hosts children’s salon interactions. The parent-child interactive games are especially fun.
▪ Wucun Homestay Clusters: The village’s residences have been renovated into themed groups including Fisherman’s House, Mill, Wine Alley, Bamboo House, Granary, Peach Garden, and Youth Era, each decorated in a different style. Rooms have common activity areas and courtyards where flowers and plants are grown. You can smell the crops and fall asleep listening to children’s voices.
▪ Peach Garden Dessert Shop: In front of the Peach Garden is a lotus pond. Summer is coming soon, and the lotus flowers will bloom, perfectly paired with visually stunning desserts for great photos.
▪ Village Head Coffee: A pet-friendly coffee shop with a little corgi as the shop manager. You can bring your furry friends here to play.
▪ Treehouse: A house built leaning on a big tree, great for photos.
▪ Wooden Bridge: Over the pond in front of the village committee, where there are ducks, white geese, and swans.
▪ Bonfire Party: Starts lighting at 19:30. The atmosphere is really great, and everyone can sing and interact around the bonfire. Watch the torch show.
▪ Small Train: A colorful barrel-shaped small train runs across the village roads. When tired of walking, you can take the small train to enjoy the scenery.
▪ Picking Experience: The village plants different fruits and vegetables according to the seasons. Parents can bring their children to learn about seasonal changes in vegetables and personally experience the process from picking vegetables in the field to the table.
▪ Others: The pet area lets you watch piglets run, feed rabbits, and see sika deer.
