[Tottori Prefecture] Travel the world with sand art! "Tottori Sand Dunes Sand Museum" 🏜️

I went to the Tottori Sand Dunes Sand Museum in Tottori Prefecture, where the world's first sculptures based on "sand" are lined up 🏜️

This is the only museum in the world that exhibits sand sculptures made only from sand and water, and with the concept of "traveling the world with sand", it holds exhibitions on various countries and themes every year, but this year, 2025, is the first time since the museum opened that the theme is "Japan", so I went for the first time!

If I had to sum up my impressions in one word, it would be "breathtaking beauty of form"!

Top-level sculptors from all over the world gathered together and created a number of exquisite works over months...

Based on the historical background from Japanese mythology to the present day, the realistic and delicate beauty of form and the high level of reproduction created from various subjects such as Mount Fuji, ukiyo-e, and historical greats, which represent Japan, were so impressive that it was hard to believe they were made only from sand and water... 👀

There are also large sand sculptures that are over 20 meters long, and you can feel the creator's commitment and passion for their work!

After the exhibition period ends, the sand will be returned to its original state, so if you visit Tottori, please enjoy the world of sand sculptures, which are a once-in-a-lifetime art, with your own eyes😌
