Towada Shrine, located on the shores of Lake Towada✨This shrine has a history of being worshiped as a sacred place of Shugendo, and is also famous as one of the most powerful spots in Japan!
There are various theories about its origin, including that it was founded by Sakanoue no Tamuramaro in 807 and the legend of Nansobo. The deity worshiped is Emperor Yamato Takeru😌It is also said to have been a symbol of Towada faith in the Tohoku region until the separation of Shinto and Buddhism in the Meiji era!
For this reason, Towada Seiryu Daigongen is enshrined in Okunoin🐉
It was a very nice shrine with a solemn atmosphere☺️❤️The goshuin was not written in advance, but written on the spot! ! The colorful and cute goshuin are a distinctive feature 💓 Recently, I've received a lot of pre-written goshuin, so I regret not bringing my goshuin book... 😢
I didn't try it, but Towada Shrine is famous for its fortune telling called "oyorigami" 🔮, where you write your wish on a piece of paper, throw it into the water, and your fortune is told based on how it goes. There used to be a place where fortune telling was done called "uranaiba," but in recent years it has been closed to the public, so people have started doing it themselves, such as by the lakeside.
It's a historic shrine, so if you go to Lake Towada, be sure to visit🙌
