A must-do when visiting Japan is to soak in hot springs to relieve fatigue, so we went to the most beautiful hot spring resort in Kansai, "Kinosaki Onsen". There are seven famous hot springs here. If you love hot springs, just buy a one-day hot spring ticket (1300¥ (JPY)) and you can soak in seven famous hot springs. If you stay in Kinosaki Onsen for one night, most of the hotels or restaurants here can get free tickets and yukatas. Walking in this ancient hot spring street wearing a Japanese yukata is really a unique experience! Today’s article will share where the seven major outer hot springs are and the scenery of Kinosaki Onsen Street when you take a day trip to Kinosaki Onsen.
There are not many hot springs in Japan that have a long history like Kinosaki Onsen and can trace back the time of its construction. Historical documents date the development of Kinosaki Onsen as far back as 720 AD, and mention the source of the hot spring now known as Mandarayu. Compared to other hot springs, many of which have only a rough record of when they were discovered, Kinosaki's history is even more precious.
Many old onsen have legends about animals discovering the onsen, and Kinosaki Onsen is no exception. These mythical stories, combined with the healing powers that the locals draw from Kinosaki Onsen, undoubtedly add a layer of mystery to this place. I think that's why this place is filled with tourists from all over the world.
The feeling here is different during the day and at night. It is recommended to come in the evening to capture the beauty of both day and night at once.
After taking a bath, it is recommended to eat nearby. We ate at the restaurant "お食事場 ぼん" that day. We highly recommend the Matsuba crab!!!!
