[Kumamoto Prefecture: Mikata] A symbolic spot of Mikata Nishiko Port!

I stopped by here when I went sightseeing in Amakusa, Kumamoto Prefecture.
It's a lovely colonial-style building located right next to the World Heritage Site "Mitsumi Nishiko".
It was originally an inn and restored in 1905.

The building is used as a rest area, and there were two music events being held when I visited.

Kumamon with his beard was very cute.
There is a free parking lot nearby, but it can get busy, so make sure you allow yourself plenty of time when sightseeing.
