The main purpose of this trip is to go to Unzen Mountain to enjoy the maple leaves🍂 and visit the famous Unzen Hell💨. We arranged a 2-day 1-night tour of Unzen💬

Unzen Hot Spring is very famous. The spring water comes from the natural sulfur hot spring that gushes out from underground in Unzen Hell. The whole area has a strong sulfur aroma and sour taste. Natural sulfur spring water has relaxing, antiseptic and skin-beautifying effects♨️ Because of this, there is a hot spring street here, with hot spring shrines, hot spring museums and a large number of hot spring hotels!

This time we stayed at the Hoshino Onsen Hotel, KAI Unzen, which will only open at the end of 2022. The hotel combines the cultural characteristics of Japan, China, and the Netherlands, and the guest rooms are full of exotic designs.

What attracted me the most was the private hot spring room, plus the view facing the landmark - Unzen Hell hot spring 🧖 The view was very open, I could see the white hot air rising from Unzen Hell and smell the sulfur smell (don't worry, it won't be too strong in the hotel)

🗝️In-room facilities: The space and facilities are very sufficient, including toilet, bathroom (quite large shower space), open wardrobe, extra large double bed, and a cool space after taking a hot spring bath - two large chairs (the floor is made of special material that can absorb water)
🧽Cleanliness: Very satisfied with the overall cleanliness! Everything is safe to use!
🏨Hotel facilities: The large bath facilities are a bit lacking. There are two indoor pools and one outdoor hot spring ♨️ The indoor space, including the shower and changing area, is small. The indoor hot spring has a good and open view, but there are many mosquitoes. There is no sauna or cool-down area in the bathing area.
🍱: Hoshino generally provides kaiseki cuisine that showcases the local food culture. The dining experience is good, with many dishes, and it is definitely filling!

The public facilities including the large bath are a little lacking, but as I booked a private hot spring room, I am very satisfied! The facilities in the room are sufficient, and you can enjoy a hot spring bath in a leisurely and comfortable manner♨️🫧
