Wat Sisaket, Vientiane’s oldest survivin

#aprilblooms
Wat Sisaket is one of the most historically significant and architecturally unique temples in Vientiane, Laos. Constructed between 1819 and 1824 by King Anouvong, it is widely considered the oldest surviving temple in the city, as it was one of the few structures left untouched during the Siamese invasion in 1828. The temple is renowned for its Siamese-style architecture, which may have contributed to its preservation during the conflict.#vientiane
