Deep within Petra, you will encounter the Tomb of the Nabataean King, an absolutely awe-inspiring sight. Carved entirely out of the red sandstone cliffs, it feels more like a grand palace than a tomb. As I approached, the weathered marks on the rock face were clearly visible, and standing before it, I felt incredibly small in comparison.
It is said that there were once murals on the walls, but unfortunately, they can no longer be seen, which is a bit of a pity. Still, imagining how ancient people managed to construct such a magnificent tomb made me marvel at the architectural skills and the immense power they must have wielded at the time.
The most breathtaking moment was at sunset when the tomb was bathed in golden light. It was as if time had stopped, blending the ancient past with the present. 🌅
