Recommend flying to Haikou Meilan Airport, it's cheaper, and the high-speed rail station is right below Meilan
🚄 Meilan to Wanning or Shenzhou takes only about 1h
Shenzhou Station is closer to attractions, Wanning Station is a bit farther
You can also rent a car at the airport for a 2h drive

1️⃣ Taiyang River Scenic Bridge
Located on Wanning's coastal highway, you can see beaches surrounded by sea on three sides from the bridge. The color of the seawater is stunning, and you can collect seashells 🐚 on the beach
2️⃣ Shanhai Langren
An undeveloped, lesser-known bay with a natural beauty. Sit under trees by the sea, feel the breeze and swing on hammocks - very therapeutic. About a 10-minute walk to the hilltop where there's a rock from which you can overlook the entire bay
3️⃣ Shanqin Bay
The black rocks on the beach give a mini-Iceland feel, and the Swallow Cave is also great for photos
4️⃣ Qiaohai Ranch
Lush green pastures with white geese and buffalo herds, beautiful like an oil painting 🖼️ Recommended to visit on sunny mornings when the animals are more lively and photos turn out better
5️⃣ Shimei Bay Beach
There's an entrance down to Shimei Bay beach at the downhill path by the big tree near the sea-viewing pavilion. The water is crystal clear, with glass-like sea and rocky beaches that are incredibly beautiful. There's a cozy campsite on the beach, and a few minutes' walk ahead is the pink Hard Bar
6️⃣ Shenzhou Peninsula Lighthouse
The same lighthouse featured in the movie "Lost Her." You can take distant shots by the lighthouse wall to avoid crowds. The coconut tree-lined road to the lighthouse is breathtaking - rent an electric scooter for a ride
7️⃣ Riyue Bay
Coconut groves, sunshine, sea, beach, and surfing 🏄‍♀️
Many ocean-facing coffee shops where you can relax and chill for an afternoon

💗 Other tips:
① UV rays are very strong in Wanning, sun protection is a must
② For surfing, wear long sleeves and pants for sun protection and warmth. The waves in Wanning are big - not recommended if you only know how to paddle! Girls should trim their nails short for safety!
③ There's no subway in Wanning, so self-driving is recommended, though parking might be difficult, it's more convenient than taking taxis; renting an electric scooter to ride along the coast is also a great option!
④ For hotel accommodations, read reviews carefully, don't just look at pictures!
⑤ Check the weather before going out - the sea appears different colors in different weather. For photos, make sure the light is behind you, otherwise the sea will look gray. Don't give up going out if it rains - it's usually just a shower that stops quickly!
