Xinjiang secrets, river valley forest scenic area, the Wizard of Oz on the Bortala River

📍Address of the attraction: Wenquan County Valley Forest Scenic Area is located at 44-1 Sanxia East Road, Wenquan County, Bortala Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, about 5 kilometers away from Wenquan County. It is located in the primeval forest valley north of the county, with the Bortala River running through it.
The Hot Spring Valley Forest Scenic Area is centered on primitive forests, ecological wetlands and the Bortala River. It is an excellent destination for natural exploration, sports and leisure, and photography. The free opening policy and the landscape that is suitable for all seasons make it a treasure trove for niche tourism in Xinjiang. Whether you are cycling on the greenway, watching wild animals, or taking a nap under a tree house, you can feel the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.

🚗 Transportation to scenic spots: It is recommended to drive to the local area by yourself, as other modes of transportation are not very convenient. Starting from Kanas or Sailimu Lake, navigate to Wenquan County and drive along the Gong'e section to reach the scenic area directly. There is a parking lot at the entrance of the scenic area, which is convenient for parking.
For transportation within the scenic area, there are green and environmentally friendly scenic area vehicles for rental at the entrance. There are electric and bicycle vehicles. It is recommended to use them because the entire scenic area is very long if you just walk.

[One] Cycling and hiking along the greenway: Cycling or walking along the river valley greenway, passing through swamp wetlands, sea buckthorn forests, river willows and other landscapes, and experiencing a forest and grass coverage rate of up to 61%.
[Two] Ecological wetland and wildlife observation: Photograph colorful pheasants, white swans and other wild animals. It is recommended to capture the best images in the early morning or dusk.
[Three] Hollow Tree House: Relax and enjoy the panoramic view of the river valley.

💗Other tips: The entire river in the park is very long. If you want to find a shortcut to cross the river, many people will choose to find a way along the river. This is strongly not recommended because there are still risks even in the dry season.
