| Summer tide pooling in Dongtou to pick up nine-section shrimp. This summer tide pooling +1, 40 minutes from Longwan to Dongtou, a spontaneous trip, and today we caught nine-section shrimp while tide pooling.
Can't stop catching, really can't stop! Just by using your hands, you can gain a harvest. Small crabs scurry under the rocks, while bigger ones hide in the tidal flats. We watched the kids while catching crabs, and after a few hours, we had a good haul. Although these crabs 🦀 aren't big, the main goal is to let the kids experience the fun.
Which child can resist the temptation of catching crabs and shrimp? It also helps improve their hand-eye coordination and reaction speed 🥰🥰.
Tide Pooling Tips:
- Flip over rocks to find crabs
- Using hands is more convenient than using tongs for catching
- Shrimp and some unknown aquatic creatures hide in the water pools; dig where you see bubbles, and you might find a surprise 😎.
Essential Tide Pooling Tools:
1️⃣ Rubber gloves 🧤 are an absolute must! We forgot to bring gloves this time
2️⃣ Buckets and nets; next time, be sure to bring long, slender tools to dig for oysters 🦪
3️⃣ Check the tide table before tide pooling to plan your time wisely.
4️⃣ Make sure to take full sun protection measures to avoid sunburn.
