Qionghai National Wetland Park is located in Xichang City, Sichuan Province, which is known as China's Moon City, China's Aerospace City and Little Spring City. It is currently the largest urban wetland park. The total area of the wetland is about 20,000 acres. It has multiple functions such as conserving water resources, regulating urban microclimate, purifying water quality, and providing habitats for animals and plants and ecological landscapes.
The Qionghai Wetland is like a jade belt surrounding Qionghai Lake, playing an important role in conserving Qionghai's water resources and purifying its water quality. It also complements the mirror-like landscape of Qionghai Lake and is an excellent place for people to relax, exercise, sightsee and entertain.
Qionghai National Wetland Park consists of six phases: Phase I - Dream Water Town, Phase II - Bird Watching Island Wetland, Phase III - Misty Egret Island, Phase IV - West Wave Crane Shadow, Phase V - Dreaming of Flower Sea, and Phase Six - Dreaming of Pastoral Area. Each phase has its own theme and characteristics.
The scenery of Qionghai Lake changes with each season. In summer, the lake is overflowing, the colorful clouds are dazzling, and the mountain temples and fishing villages complement each other brilliantly. In autumn, the sky is high and the air is crisp, the setting sun is full of solitary wild geese, and the autumn waters are long. In winter, the sky is clear and the waters are bright, with red maples and green cypresses.
