No wonder it's a National Geographic Select, a beautiful place with few people and great for water activities

On this trip to Wuyuan, I discovered this off-the-beaten-path travel spot with mountains, water, and canyons, covered in lush greenery. You can go creek tracing and hiking. It was 38°C the day I went, but as soon as I entered the scenic area, it instantly felt cool, with the perceived temperature dropping by 10 degrees!

✔️Take the cable car up the mountain and walk down. The cable car slowly ascends, offering increasingly wide views. After getting off, walk 30 minutes to the summit;
✔️On the way down, the babbling creek accompanies you. You can stop anytime to creek trace and play in the water. The clear creek water reaches just above the ankles, is ice-cold, and has many small fish.

✔️The scenic area is quite large, so it’s recommended to go in the morning to have enough time to enjoy. Going after noon will be rushed and less enjoyable. Photos taken at sunset are not good, and staff will keep following and urging you, which affects the experience;
✔️Bring enough water and food supplies.
