[Xi'an] The Terracotta Warriors are truly spectacular when seen with your own eyes

The Terracotta Army had been lying underground for a long time until it was discovered by a farmer digging a well in 1974. It is truly miraculous that something over 2000 years old was discovered in such a state.

I had seen the Terracotta Army on TV, but seeing the real thing with my own eyes was overwhelming. It seems that it took decades to create thousands of ceramic soldiers and horses, which speaks to the power of the powerful people at the time.

It took about an hour to get there by direct bus from Xi'an city. There were quite a lot of people there even though it was a weekday and it was raining! It seems that there will be even more people during the holidays!
