Three Days and Two Nights in Xiamen | I Bet You've Never Heard of These Places

Since becoming a travel blogger, I've visited Xiamen five, six, or seven times.
This time I've put together a three-day, two-night travel guide that includes some newly discovered great spots. I suggest you save this for future reference!

Day 1 🚢 Kulangsu Island
🏠 City walk tour with local resident Teacher Huang, an architectural designer, to hear stories behind the old houses.
🎨 View art exhibitions at Kulangsu Art College and learn how to make Minnan porcelain-cutting and pasting art with intangible cultural heritage inheritors.

Day 2 🧱 Zengcuo'an
🎭 Watch a traditional puppet show
🏮 DIY paint a pair of Tong'an dragon and tiger lanterns to experience the power of Fujian folk art
🎉 Rooftop pool party - immersive dancing with friends from around the world

Day 3 🌴 Xiamen Island
Taste seafood, then head home ✈️

🏨 This time I stayed at the Hyatt Place Xiamen Haicang, where I unlocked the hotel's limited edition city map exploration experience - no need to plan anything, just follow and enjoy!
The hotel is located next to the red brick historic houses of Zengcuo'an, with the sea right across the street 🌊. The artistic district and fishing village atmosphere are all within walking distance.
The Southeast Asian style design captures the essence of southern Fujian. A sweet bowl of peanut soup for breakfast took me back to classic Taiwanese dramas.
I stayed in a room with a large ocean-view terrace. Falling asleep to the sound of waves and wind was pure bliss ☺️
My favorite spot was the rooftop terrace pool. Saturday night's party was so exciting - it's now officially part of my must-do Xiamen experience 🤣
