OMG! The aftereffects of my Xiangshan trip are too strong 😭 I've been back at work for five days, but my soul is still lingering in that mountain and sea paradise. All I can think about is the sea breeze, the sunrise, and the stunning coastline! My colleagues kept asking for my travel tips, so I spent the afternoon putting together this super practical self-driving guide to help you unlock the magical experiences of Xiangshan!
🚗 Efficient Self-Driving Route (No detours! No backtracking!)
Ningbo Airport/Train Station → Wangjialan, Xiangshan → Dongdan Village → Asian Games Sailing Centre (Sunset + Accommodation) → Fantong Mountain → Changsha Village
👉 Must-stay overnight: Don't miss the sunrise at the Youth & Sea Sailing Games Viewing Campground!
👉 Must-try food: Xiangshan's "Second Bowl of Noodles"—so fresh it'll make your eyebrows fall off!
🌟 Must-See Attractions
📍 Wangjialan: Ningbo's version of "Hulunbuir Grassland," with herds of cattle and sheep grazing leisurely on the grasslands, dotted with yurts. It's like stepping into a world beyond the Great Wall, and every photo is a masterpiece!
📍 Dongdan Village: The back of the mountain is covered with Mucuna sempervirens, resembling a scene from a mystical wonderland. Stroll along the fitness trail, surrounded by lush greenery, and feel your soul heal!
📍 Asian Games Sailing Centre: A landmark built for the Asian Games, with a magnificent lighthouse at the end of the road! We recommend staying at the Youth & Sea Sailing Games Viewing Campground, the perfect spot to watch the sunrise and morning glow. The sky ablaze with color reflected on the sea is breathtakingly beautiful!
📍 Daydream: Located next to the Asian Games Sailing Centre, the tide-viewing platform transforms into a romantic photo spot. When the lights come on at twilight, the atmosphere is magical, and every shot looks like a movie still!
📍 Walking Trail and Coastal Road: Known as the "Red Ribbon on the Sea," this stunning boardwalk stretches from Dongsha Beach in the south to Baisha Bay in the north. The red path winds along the reefs and beaches, offering mesmerizing views of the sea and sky merging into one.
📍 Fantong Mountain: Ningbo's "Little Sayram Lake," with a clear blue inner lake enclosed by a seawall. On your way out, pass by Daorentou, where the grassland at the river mouth meets the sea, creating a picturesque scene perfect for Instagram-worthy photos!
📍 Changsha Village: The name is down-to-earth, but the scenery is anything but! Behind the village, a winding road leads to the sea, lined with white wind turbines standing tall on the hilltop. Against the backdrop of the blue sea and sky, it's a stunning sight, picture-perfect from every angle!
