Yunjiang Ancient Town, Xiangzhou, Guangxi.

Yunjiang Ancient Town is a cultural tourism attraction with Lingnan characteristics that integrates ancient visits, entertainment, sightseeing, and leisure. The ancient town was built in the Han Dynasty and has a history of more than 2,000 years. It was once a commercial center and prospered due to water transportation. It has a rich history and cultural heritage. Yunjiang Ancient Town is located downstream of the confluence of the Liujiang River and the Luoxiu River. It is an island in the river, surrounded by water, forming a unique geographical environment. The street layout of the ancient town is reasonable, winding and simple. On both sides of the stone road are typical Lingnan-style buildings, such as arcades and two-story arcades. These buildings not only show the historical features of the ancient town, but also reflect the local customs. The ancient town retains many old shops and buildings, such as French churches, Yue Dong Guild Hall, and Gan Wang Temple. These buildings have witnessed the prosperity and historical changes of the ancient town. Due to inconvenient transportation, the ancient town, which used to be crowded with people, gradually declined, and the tourists in the town gradually became scarce. Only a few residents live in the old houses in the town, and they are in urgent need of overall tourism development. The main streets in the town, Hongxing Street and Hongguang Street, have been rated as the fifth batch of traditional Chinese villages.
