After more than two thousand years of changes, the ferry at Xianyang has evolved from the 'Hengqiao' of the Qin dynasty to the 'Wei Bridge' of the Western Han, then to the 'Convenient Bridge' of the Tang dynasty, and finally to the 'Ancient Ferry' during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Hence, there is the saying 'The ancient ferry of Xianyang has lasted for thousands of years,' and it is also celebrated as one of the eight scenic spots of Guanzhong. In 2002, during the construction of Xianyang Lake, an old river dike site was accidentally discovered, along with a large number of historical relics such as cypress stakes, iron rings, iron columns, iron anchors, and a stone stele that records the 'Renovation of the River Bank by Xianyang County'.
