Step into the hidden hiking secret tucked inside a thousand-year-old ancient temple!

Everyone says Xinchang Great Buddha Temple is a bit off the beaten path and niche, but I never expected that after strolling around with the kids👣, we would be completely captivated by the "Prajna Valley" inside!
🚶Originally, we were just accompanying the kids to complete their "mountain climbing KPI," but this place became our little autumn family hiking gem!
The path is easy, the scenery stunning, and every photo comes with a natural fairy-tale filter. The kids were super excited, like little explorers on an adventure!🎆

🚶‍♀️ The route is easy and kid-friendly, no stress for parents
Starting from the Buddha Heart Square, we walked with plenty of stops,
and it takes about 15 minutes to reach Prajna Valley🕐
Mostly flat slopes with a few steps,
very friendly for kids over 5 years old✅
The kids hopped and skipped along, enjoying the green trees and red walls, not tired at all.

🌿 Prajna Valley: once you step in, it feels like entering a mysterious world
Walking down the stone steps, layer by layer, you discover hidden wonders
Stone caves, waterfalls, deep pools, stone carvings...
Even though you’re inside a Buddhist temple, it feels like you’ve accidentally entered👉
a secret map of a dark myth!🗺️
That mysterious and peaceful awe,
photos can’t even capture a tenth of it!📷

💡 Tips for bringing kids
⚠️ There are many slippery steps in the valley, so hold your kids’ hands tightly and wear non-slip sports shoes!
⚠️ There’s a lot of mist around the waterfall, so bring a light jacket for the kids.
⚠️ The whole trip takes about 1️⃣ hour. Since we had other plans that day,
⚠️ our schedule was a bit tight, but it’s best not to rush and let the kids explore freely.

🍂 If this autumn you want to take your kids on a less "touristy" route
that’s easy and full of great photo opportunities,
why not check out Prajna Valley at the Great Buddha Temple!
It’s not the most popular spot,
but it’s one of the best easy hikes for families with kids that’s both relaxing and rewarding❤️
