Summer vacation trip to Xuzhou with kids, 2 days staying at Sheraton for a super worry-free experience!

🌈 Bringing kids to Xuzhou, choosing Sheraton was absolutely right—great location within walking distance to explore the old town, and you can entertain the kids right inside the hotel. After two days, the kids kept laughing non-stop, and I didn’t get tired at all~

🍄 The hotel’s thoughtful amenities are very family-friendly, the room is cozy and equipped with a building block table for kids to play with.
The pool, gym, and kids’ playground are all clustered together. The pool temperature is 28°C, just right—not cold or icy. The little one chased the waves with a swim ring, the older kid was splashing around practicing breathing techniques, and the splashing water was full of shouts of “I want to play more.” The whole family enjoyed themselves while staying close, fully embracing the summer vacation vibe. After swimming with the kids, my husband worked out nearby, and only then did I truly feel the joy of vacation.

☘ Even more surprising was the indoor golf. It’s too glaring to play outside in summer, but here the air conditioning is strong and the space is spacious, perfect for parent-child matches. Parents teach the swing, kids wave their little clubs around, creating lots of laughs, and before we knew it, we spent the whole afternoon. As dusk fell, the energetic little guy still held his club, saying, “Let’s play nine more holes!” “Nine more holes!”

🦖 The food was thoughtful too: the buffet dinner had roast whole lamb and lobster. The kid grabbed lamb with his little claws, but his favorite was the surf and turf dish—Tomahawk steak with a fragrant bone, juicy meat, crispy-skinned tender pigeon that the older kid loves, and the small green lobster with a fresh sweet flavor wrapped in garlic, every bite was delicious to the core. My husband praised the taste and wanted another serving~

👍 Breakfast was even more satisfying: rice noodles with chewy texture topped with meat sauce, spicy soup with peppery flavor making you sweat; meat-filled crispy pastries, smooth and hot porridge, all comforting to eat!

🍁 Nearby sightseeing and fun:
A 10-minute drive 🚗 from the hotel to Hubushan, very pleasant to stroll in the evening. Blue stone slab roads, red lanterns, the kid watched the pancake vendor auntie for a long time, and we took a very interesting photo with street characters. The old mother slowly wandered along, full of local life atmosphere. Walking around Hubushan, Xuzhou’s local food specialties are great too—rolled pancakes, meat sauce rice noodles, with rich meat sauce soaking into soft noodles, paired with a spoonful of chili oil and cilantro.

🌻 On the second day, we went to Yunlong Lake, just a 7-8 minute drive. Lotus flowers were blooming by the lake, we rented a family bike and rode slowly. The surroundings were quiet and beautiful, didn’t mind wet pants, laughter was louder than the lake water. The water in Yunlong Lake is so clear you can see the fish swimming. Walking along the lake, the breeze carried the scent of lotus to our faces, and Yunlong Mountain in the distance looked like a piece of green jade embedded in the sky. We rented a small boat to drift gently, watching willow branches dipping into the water. When hungry, we found a local restaurant; the clay pot chicken’s flatbread soaked in broth, paired with a bowl of hot and sour frog fish. After eating, we sat by the lake to watch the sunset, the lake surface glittering gold, so comfortable.

☘️ The biggest feeling from this stay: no need to rush, the kids had fun, and I could rest. For traveling with kids in Xuzhou, Sheraton is definitely the right choice~
