This is the main branch of Kanmi-chu Kamakura, located in Yahiko Park in Niigata. From Tokyo, take the Shinkansen 🚆🚆 to Tsubame-Sanjo, then take the subway 🚇🚇 to Yahiko Station. After passing Yahiko Principality, you'll see the shop 👀 in front of the shrine's torii gate ⛩️. It's about a 4-hour drive from Tokyo 🚶♀️🚶🚶♂️.

Their signature dish is warabimochi. That day, we ordered a set meal that included 10 black sesame warabimochi and a cup of hot matcha 🍵. You can also add your own brown sugar for a richer flavor 🤗🤗🤗. The warabimochi is incredibly tender, smooth, and sweet 😍😍😍. Ten pieces were quickly devoured, and paired with warm matcha 🍵, it was a perfect place to relax after visiting Yahiko Park on a cold day before heading to Yahiko Shrine⛩️.
