We visited Fumei countryside in Fu County in a clear spring afternoon, and were immediately impressed by the thoughtful way modern planning and rural life had merged. The village lanes were lined with tidy homes and small community gardens, and the newly paved paths guided us past micro‑orchards, roadside markets, and cooperative stands displaying fresh produce.We toured cooperative farms growing apples, vegetables, and raising livestock within ecological systems that recycle waste and conserve water; it never felt contrived it felt practical and community‑driven. Farmers spoke enthusiastically as they showed us drip‑irrigated plots, young dwarf‑tree orchards under hail nets, and small apiaries nestled among fruit trees. It’s rare to find a rural setting so carefully renewed yet fully alive a place we would highly recommend to anyone interested in contemporary rural revitalisation grounded in real, thriving communities.
