Encountering Creek Mountain Homestay's Bamboo Tube Rice + Clay Oven Chicken

Yangshuo is truly a place that leaves you longing to return. Besides its stunning landscapes, the local homestay restaurants also offer incredibly authentic cuisine! During my stay, the homestay restaurant specialized in freshly made clay oven chicken and bamboo tube rice, which left a lasting impression! The hostess was very warm and welcoming, making the entire dining experience even better.

Clay Oven Chicken
A must-try signature dish, freshly roasted by the owner on-site. As soon as the oven is opened, the aroma of chicken wafts out. The skin is slightly charred, but the meat is incredibly juicy, with every bite bursting with flavor. The whole chicken is served, enough for two to three people to share, making it very cost-effective.

Bamboo Tube Rice
Rice and ingredients are cooked inside a bamboo tube, infusing the dish with a subtle bamboo fragrance. The rice is soft and sticky, with the fresh flavors of the ingredients, making it very unique.

Bamboo Chicken Soup
Made with pure chicken broth, it is refreshingly sweet and not greasy, perfect for Yangshuo's summer.

Environment
The restaurant is located within the homestay, with an outdoor barbecue area. Dining here allows you to enjoy authentic local cuisine while taking in the scenic views, giving off a full countryside vibe. The hostess is very friendly, passionately introducing the dishes without being rushed, making it worth a revisit.
