2 hours from Beijing, I thought I had arrived in Guilin

Yishui Lake, known as the "Little Guilin of the North," is absolutely stunning and perfect for a weekend getaway! Here’s my travel guide to share with you all 👇

🏞 Tickets: It’s recommended to buy in advance. Tickets combined with boat rides are more cost-effective. Buying on-site may require waiting in line.
⏰ Opening hours: Peak season 07:00 - 19:00 (last entry at 17:00); off-season 08:00 - 18:00 (entry stops at 16:00). Please plan your visit accordingly.
🚗 Transportation: Driving is very convenient. Parking costs 10 RMB/day. It takes about 2 hours from Beijing, Tianjin, or Baoding.
🚢 Boat ride: After boarding, I highly recommend going to the open-air second-floor stern of the boat to capture stunning photos of the "boat’s trailing waves."
🗺 Must-visit spot: The Laozi Peak plank road is a must! This 3,100-meter waterside plank road offers spectacular scenery along the way, with unique rock formations and emerald green lake water. Walking the entire route takes about 2-3 hours.

🍱 Food:
Try the local lake delicacies, like steamed mandarin fish with tender meat; also, the black goat stew cooked in a traditional clay stove is a full pot of soft, flavorful goat meat.

❗ Helpful tips:

1. Weekends are crowded, so to avoid the crowds, it’s best to arrive before 8 AM.

2. Don’t hike on rainy days as the plank road is slippery. Safety first.

Take advantage of the good weather and come experience the northern mountain and water beauty of Yishui Lake 💕
