🛖 Lexu Hall (乐叙堂) – A Smaller, Refined Scholar’s Residence

Though smaller than Chengzhi Hall, Lexu Hall is another well-preserved example of Huizhou design:

Elegant wood carvings and latticework

Narrow corridors and internal courtyards

Ancestral altars and private study areas

Why It’s Special:
It offers a more intimate look into the daily life of scholar-official families in the Qing Dynasty — less grand, but just as rich in cultural meaning.
