Yibin, known as the "First City Along the Yangtze River," is filled with the aroma of liquor throughout the city. A two-day, one-night trip is perfect for a weekend getaway—here's your detailed guide.
📍📍📍Itinerary
1⃣1⃣1⃣Day 1: Arrive in Yibin in the morning and head to [Diannan Guild Hall]. Walk to [Daguan Tower], then visit [Guanying Ancient Street]. At [Hejiang Gate], witness the confluence of two rivers and the tallest building across the river, [Yibin Center]. Nearby, [Xiju] offers a photo spot with Yibin's large-character wall, while [Xianxi Street] features the slogan "We Love Yibin So Much" and a Catholic church. Return to the hotel at noon to drop off luggage and rest. In the afternoon, visit [Wuliangye Distillery Tourist Area]—the factory is huge, so take a taxi or drive in (no ticket required, just scan to register). Check out the museum at the entrance, with the highlight being [Jiusheng Mountain], offering a panoramic view of the giant Wuliangye liquor bottle.
In the evening, head to [Baita Mountain] (no need to climb—just enjoy the night view of Hejiang Gate from across the river without the crowds).
2⃣2⃣2⃣Day 2: After breakfast, visit [Cuiping Mountain]—take the cable car up and walk down, stopping by Nezha Palace and Qianfo Temple. Then, head to the road next to Liya Grand Courtyard to photograph [Jinsha River Zhongba Bridge]. Return to the hotel to rest and pack, checking out around 2 PM before heading to [Lizhuang]. We recommend exploring the old Lizhuang Ancient Town first, then visiting Moonlight Field at sunset to see the stunning lantern-lit scenery.
🏡🏡🏡Accommodation Recommendation
We stayed at [Crowne Plaza Yibin], a family-friendly hotel close to the high-speed rail station and major attractions—highly recommended for a great experience.
🥃🥃🥃Food Recommendations
⭐️⭐️Heping Street Ran Noodles: A no-frills eatery with mediocre taste—we preferred the hotel breakfast’s version.
⭐️⭐️⭐️Qiumao BBQ: Okay but overall too salty.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Lizhuang Yifan Sliced Pork: The most satisfying meal in Yibin—delicious and affordable.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Chuanyan Tea & Tianyi Ding: Local milk tea brands—both solid, but we preferred Chuanyan Tea.
