I came here once after Fushan Botanical Garden opened to the public by appointment, but I haven't been here since I returned to the south to work and settle down. This summer I planned a four-day, three-night trip to Wuling Farm, and I also booked a trip to Fushan Botanical Garden. Fushan Botanical Garden is located at the junction of Yuanshan Township, Yilan County and Wulai District, New Taipei City. It is known as the largest botanical garden in Taiwan and Asia. The park is 400~1400 meters above sea level and is divided into three areas: "Water Source Protection Area", "Botanical Garden Area" and "Hapen Nature Reserve". Although it has been almost 20 years since I last came here, I was surprised that the landscape and environment have not changed at all, as if I had just been here last month. There is a limit on the number of people allowed into the park, so you need to make an appointment and draw lots. You will be notified by email after your draw, so you don’t have to worry about it being as crowded as a zoo. In addition to providing recreation for the general public, the park also provides ecological environment education and forestry teaching internship research. The park has a very rich flora and fauna ecology. When walking on the forest trails, you will often see small animals and birds coming out to find food. This is a great place without any human damage and still maintains its original appearance. Although it is tiring to travel, you can take your children and family to stroll in the woods, and all the fatigue will disappear in this forest. (20210814)
