Houtong Waterfall

"Houtong Waterfall" is located in Jiaoxi Township, Yilan County. It is one of the "18 scenic spots in Yilan". Later, due to the decrease of water source in the upper reaches, the villagers built another canal and regulated the lowest section of the water flow into an artificial waterfall. In addition, the amount of water diverted by the villagers for irrigation has gradually become scarce. Now, only in the rainy season can you enjoy the six-meter-wide and 25-meter-high waterfall.
