Yogyakarta is not one of the mainstream destination where one would go to! But you should make it a must go due to its many ancient history that the land of Yogyakrata has.
One of the most iconic place to visit is the Borobudur Temple which is one of the largest Buddhist temple in the world and this was completed in the 825AD with 2500 metre square of land space. What amazes is the architecture and the carvings of this temple that was being built with no machinery but pure man power, the amount of people and man days to built this gigantic temple.
