Enjoy free time at Yokohama Osanbashi Pier, surrounded by wavy rooftops and ocean views.
⸻
The Yokohama Osanbashi International Passenger Terminal is a spot where the history and modern charm of Yokohama Port coexist. Completed in 2002, this building's streamlined roof, reminiscent of waves and whales, naturally soothes the soul.
Highlights
• Rooftop Deck (commonly known as "The Whale's Back")
With natural grass and a wooden deck, this open space resembles the deck of a ship. Open 24 hours a day, it offers spectacular views of the Bay Bridge, Minato Mirai, the Red Brick Warehouse, and more.
• Beautiful Architectural Design
The spacious, pillar-free second floor and the origami-inspired ceiling create a visually striking and refreshing atmosphere.
• Plenty of Activities
The second floor houses shops and restaurants, where you can take a break and enjoy a light meal. Even just gazing at the view from the rooftop is a relaxing experience that will make you feel like you're in an extraordinary place.
• A multi-functional space where events and live performances are held
The terminal is home to the 1,100-seat Osanbashi Hall, which is used for concerts, furniture exhibitions, and community events. On weekends, you can even enjoy a casual jazz or pop performance in the hall.
• A walking route perfect for combining with sightseeing in the area
Yamashita Park, Chinatown, and the Red Brick Warehouse are all within walking distance. We also recommend taking a short trip on the Hikawa Maru or Sea Bass while strolling along the waterfront.
