Hikawa Maru & Yamashita Park

Late May to late June is the best time to see hydrangeas at Yamashita Park. Shots with the Hikawa Maru in the background are especially Yokohama-esque, creating a dreamlike image of a ship floating above the hydrangeas.

Photography Tips:
• On sunny days, the sunlight reflects off the Hikawa Maru and Marine Tower, creating a sparkling effect. However, be careful of backlighting (we recommend framing your camera with your back to the sea in the morning and facing it in the afternoon).
• Combining hydrangeas with fountains and monuments adds symmetry and asymmetry to your composition.

Yokohama English Garden

While known for its rose gardens, this English-style garden also boasts stunning hydrangeas. Over 300 varieties bloom until around June, featuring historic varieties and the Yokohama-inspired "Sumida no Hanabi" (Sumida Fireworks) variety.

• Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (last entry at 5:30 PM)
• Admission Fee: Approximately 1,000 yen (varies depending on the season)
