Two miles east of Guiyang City, there is a mountain called Qixialing. The mountain stands horizontally, shaped like a barrier, with lush forests. There is a temple called Dongshan Temple built on the mountain. This mountain became a tourist attraction in Guiyang in the Ming Dynasty.
Dongshan Temple, also known as Dong'an and Qixia Temple, has been a popular tourist attraction in Guiyang since the Ming and Qing dynasties. Built during the Hongwu reign of the Ming Dynasty and subsequently rebuilt several times, it was damaged during the Cultural Revolution, and only ruins remain, including several cliff carvings. In 1981 , the site was designated a Guiyang municipal cultural relic protection site.
