Fujian Tulou | A Pearl of Eastern Civilization

| A Pearl of Eastern Civilization. Yongding Tulou is located in Yongding District, Longyan City, Fujian Province, in southeast China. It is a pearl of Eastern civilization, a unique large-scale rammed earth residential building in the mountains, and a creative masterpiece of rammed earth architecture. It is known for its long history, variety, large scale, ingenious structure, complete functions, and rich connotations. It has high historical, artistic, and scientific value, and is known as the "Oriental Castle," "World Architectural Wonder," and "the world's unique, mythical mountain architectural model."
Fujian Tulou originated in the Song and Yuan Dynasties and matured in the late Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods. The oldest and youngest tulou in the World Heritage Site are both in the Chuxi Tulou Cluster. The Jiqing Building, with a diameter of 66 meters, is 600 years old, while the Shanqing Building, with a diameter of 31 meters, is only 40 years old.

Visiting order: Chengqi Building → Shize Building → Wuyun Building → Qiaofu Building
Chengqi Building: Known as the King of Tulou, it covers an area of 6,000 square meters (10 acres) and has a history of over 300 years. It has a Bagua layout, four-story high buildings, and a building within a building. The Chengqi Building has a diameter of 73 meters, a corridor circumference of 229.34 meters, and a total of 402 rooms in three circles centered around a central courtyard.
Shize Building: A square tulou, also a movie check-in point, with a cobblestone-paved ground.
Wuyun Building: Also known as the "Unfallen Building," it has a history of over 590 years and remains stable and unfallen.
Qiaofu Building: The architecture of Qiaofu Building is relatively new, as it was built later. It is also known as the "Doctor Building" because it has produced 11 doctors.
