Beijing Surroundings | The autumn scenery here is truly legendary..

Finally checked in at Matianling, which I've been wanting to visit for a long time!
The autumn here really looks like a spilled palette 🎨
Golden meadows, spinning windmills, magical forests...
Definitely lives up to the reputation of the "Little Tianshan" in Beijing suburbs!

✨ Must-experience highlights:

🌲【Magical Forest Trek】
Walking into the larch forest feels like entering a fairy tale world
Soft pine needle carpet underfoot
Sunlight filters through the branches creating dappled shadows
Every shot is a forest-themed masterpiece 📸

⚡️【Windmill Array Spectacle】
Giant white windmills line up on the mountaintop
Shooting from below looking up is super photogenic!
Use a wide-angle lens and low angle
Instantly capture the imposing feeling of mechanical giants

🍁【Autumn Exclusive Colors】
Mid to late October is the most beautiful time
Golden meadows + dark green pine forest + bright blue sky
Color layers are as rich as an oil painting
Wearing bright clothes makes your photos stand out even more

📌 Practical tips:

1️⃣ Route options:
· Beginners recommended 10 km small loop
· Total elevation gain about 400 meters
· Takes about 5 hours in total

2️⃣ Gear checklist:
· Non-slip hiking shoes (some slopes are steep)
· Trekking poles (save effort uphill)
· 2L drinking water (no supply along the way)
· Windbreaker (strong winds on the summit)

3️⃣ Best photo times:
· After 3 PM the light is softer
· Windmills and the Great Wall in the same frame are stunning
· Use wide-angle for the pine forest tunnel to get amazing shots

… … … …

💡 Notes:
· Weak signal on the mountain, download offline maps in advance
· Leave no trace, take all your trash with you
· Descend before 4 PM to avoid fog

You have to visit Matianling this autumn!

Leave all your worries between the mountains and fields~
