Walking into the Yangjiagou Revolutionary Site, the first thing I noticed was the stillness. The courtyard was quiet, with just the faint sound of wind moving through trees and the occasional crunch of gravel underfoot. It didn’t feel like a museum or a tourist spot it felt like time had paused.
The rooms were simple, sparsely furnished, and a bit dim, with sunlight filtering through old wooden windows. There was something deeply grounding about standing there like the walls remembered everything, but didn’t need to speak. I lingered longer than I expected, not because there was a lot to see, but because the quiet, the space, and the air itself made me feel calm and oddly connected to something much bigger than myself.
