Once in a lifetime, conquer the Yulong Snow Mountain

Yulong Snow Mountain, known among Thai people as the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, is a majestic snow-capped mountain standing at an elevation of 5,596 meters above sea level. Located in the Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang City, Yunnan Province, it is a 5A-rated tourist destination and a National Glacier Geopark, covering an area of 415 square kilometers. The mountain's undulating shape resembles a silver dragon soaring through the sky, hence its name "Jade Dragon Snow Mountain." Its main peak, Shan-Tzu-tou (扇子陡), rises to 5,596 meters above sea level and is surrounded by clouds and mist year-round. This pristine peak remains unconquered and is considered a sacred mountain by the Naxi people. Yulong Snow Mountain is one of Lijiang's most famous scenic spots.

The mountain offers three cable car routes for visitors:

Each cable car provides a unique perspective of the mountain, allowing visitors to enjoy and explore the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain from different angles. Most tourists opt for the large Glacier Cable Car to ascend the mountain. It is recommended to book the earliest morning ride on the Glacier Cable Car to witness the snow glistening in golden hues as the sunlight reflects off it—a truly breathtaking sight.
