Dafo Temple Calm🏯

As part of my Silk Road journey, we passed by Zhangye, where one of the must-visit attractions is the Dafo Temple.

There are still monks residing in the temple, so please keep your voice low when visiting to respect the peaceful atmosphere.

Inside the temple lies a gigantic Sleeping Buddha, measuring 35 meters in length, the size of 11 rooms in width and 9 rooms in depth. It is known as the largest Sleeping Buddha in Asia.

The temple grounds are serene and calming. Simply sitting inside allows your stress to melt away. The gentle sound of birds chirping, the cool breeze, and the soft chanting create a tranquil atmosphere that leaves you feeling both refreshed and at peace. If you wish, you can also offer incense and candles.
