Henan Museum & Erqi Square Walk
Address – No. 8 Nongye Rd, Jinshui District, Zhengzhou
Highlights – We start at Henan Museum, where ancient bronze, jade, and pottery take us deep into Chinese civilization’s roots some pieces are over 3,000 years old. The building itself is a modern pyramid, calm and contemplative. Afterward, we head to Erqi Square, where the twin spires of the Erqi Memorial Tower rise above shops and street stalls. History and modern hustle sit side by side.
Vibe Match – Like we’re in the British Museum by way of Shibuya: ancient treasures, neon buzz, and constant motion.
Rating Suggestion – 8.5/10
Yellow River Scenic Area & Dahe Village Ruins
Address – Huiji District, Zhengzhou
Highlights – We head out to the Yellow River Scenic Area, where the “Mother River” winds past statues, pavilions, and cable cars. The views stretch wide sky, river, and reeds swaying in the wind. On the way back, we stop at the Dahe Village Ruins, an open-air archaeological site from the Neolithic period. It feels surreal: farmland and high-rises in the distance, and we’re standing in a place older than writing.
Vibe Match – Like we hiked the Danube meets the Valley of the Kings: quiet, sweeping, and older than it looks.
Rating Suggestion – 8.6/10
Zhengzhou Botanical Garden & CBD Skyscraper Loop
Address – No. 510 Longhai Middle Rd, Zhongyuan District
Highlights – We ease into the day at the Botanical Garden, where themed zones rose gardens, rock gardens, bonsai groves invite us to wander and reset. Later, we loop back into Zhengzhou’s CBD, with its surprisingly futuristic skyline. The Greenland Plaza (or “Big Corn Tower”) catches the light just right as we walk past fountains and mirrored glass.
Vibe Match – Like we walked through Ueno Park into Singapore’s Marina Bay: green, sleek, and unexpectedly modern.
Rating Suggestion – 8.4/10
