Crossing the river and meeting Jiaoshan

Jiaoshan is one of the "Three Mountains" in Zhenjiang. It is an island surrounded by water on all sides in the Yangtze River. The mountain is 70.7 meters high and has a circumference of more than 2,000 meters. It was named after Jiao Guang of the Eastern Han Dynasty who lived in seclusion in the mountain. It is likened to the "Water Park" of Jiangnan, with natural mountains and rivers, simple and beautiful.

You need to take a ferry to go to Jiaoshan. The ferry is right at the entrance of the scenic area. There are two options: scheduled boat and speedboat. The scheduled boat is included in the ticket. It runs about every 10 minutes, and the frequency is still very high. If you want to take a speedboat, you need to pay extra.

The ferry will take you to the island in less than 10 minutes. Jiaoshan is still much colder in winter than the city. Although the season of lush branches and leaves has passed, the red maple and ginkgo trees on the island still stand proudly in the wind. There are basically two ways to visit. One is to go deep into the center and get a deep understanding of the buildings on the island. The other is to take the leisure avenue around the island. Both ways have their own advantages and you can choose at will#Good places in the suburbs
