The Everlasting Scenery of Zhenjiang Nanshan Scenic Area

Nanshan, also known as Zhaoyin Mountain, Huanghe Mountain, Jia Mountain, Jiuhua Mountain, and others, covers an area of about 18 square kilometers (approximately 1800 hectares), with a forest coverage rate of 73%. The Nanshan Scenic Area is located 2.5 kilometers away from the center of Zhenjiang City. The newly planned area consists of five scenic spots: Huanghe Scenic Area, Zhulin Zhaoyin Scenic Area, Bagong Scenic Area, Lianhua Scenic Area, and Huilong Scenic Area. Within the scenic area, there are three ancient temples that were established during the Eastern Jin Dynasty—Zhaoyin Temple, Zhulin Temple, and Helin Temple; and three famous springs—Hupao Spring, Lupao Spring, and Zhenzhu Spring. It is a national AAAA-level tourist area, a national forest park, and a famous provincial scenic spot known for its beautiful natural landscapes and rich cultural heritage.
