Zhongshan Shiqi Tour

The squab in Zhongshan Shiqi is quite good. You don't necessarily have to go to the restaurants recommended by travel agencies or popular guides, as sometimes they can be disappointing. For example, places like Xiangx Sihe X. This time, I'll introduce two restaurants that are quite good, but they are a bit far from each other.

The first one is Baobaodian (West District Branch). This place is mostly frequented by locals, and they always serve squab fresh out of the oven. Each squab costs ¥35, and it's very juicy. You can order a whole one, and we each had to eat two. The fried rice is also good. It's affordable and has great squab.

The second one is Wansui Seafood Restaurant. They have black truffle squab, but I recommend ordering the braised one instead. The squab skin here is crispier, but when cut into pieces, it's not as juicy. The taste is still good. They also have fish sashimi and shredded squab. The shredded squab tastes like shredded chicken but without the bones.
