Jiulongji Waterfall is a National Scenic Spot and a National 4A-level Tourist Attraction, known as "The First Waterfall in East China."
Overview: Located 13 kilometers southeast of Zhouning County in Fujian, amidst dangerous peaks and broken gorges, it is part of the Ningde Global Geopark. The waterfall cluster consists of nine tiers of waterfalls, with a total drop of over 300 meters over a 1000-meter flow, making it one of the largest waterfall clusters in the country.
Main Attractions: The first tier waterfall is the most spectacular, with a height of 46.7 meters and a width of 76 meters, reaching up to 83 meters during high water periods. To the upper right of the massive waterfall, there is a 14-meter diameter pool, known as the "Dragon's Eye." The fourth tier is the Dragon's Tooth Waterfall, which is 46 meters long, with a prominent large rock in the middle of the waterfall resembling a dragon's tooth, splitting the waterfall into two halves. The sixth to ninth tiers are continuous waterfalls, known as the "Four-Tier Waterfall," with a flow of 692 meters across the 4 tiers. Strange rocks are scattered throughout the waterfalls, including "Dragon's Well," "Dragon's Ridge," and "Dragon's Horn."
Natural Landscape: Surrounded by towering mountains, with peculiar peaks and unique rocks, such as "Pigeon Peak," "Goldfish Peak," and "Soaring Dragon Peak." The scenic area boasts a forest coverage rate of over 95%, with negative oxygen ions reaching 10,000 to 13,000 per cubic centimeter, making it a natural oxygen bar.
Travel Information: The ticket price is 60 yuan, and the opening hours are 7:30-17:30. The best time to visit is from April to December each year. Nearby attractions include Liyuxi Stream, Mount Taimu, and Dazhushan Island. Local specialties include Wudan Guo, Loach Noodles, and Zhouning Bianrou.
