Guishan Island, located in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, is a unique destination where nature and history coexist harmoniously. It is particularly known for its 'tranquil sea' and 'historical heritage.'
Transportation: A 50-minute ferry ride from Zhuhai Xiangzhou Port (Standard seat: 100 RMB, VIP seat: 130 RMB). Tickets should be booked in advance on weekends and holidays. Direct routes are also available from Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Attractions: Guishan War Memorial Park (a sunset spot), Yiman Beach, the S-shaped Aimin Road (a photo hotspot), Guishan Lighthouse, and Wangxiang Fishing Floats. The coastal cliff trail offers an immersive experience of the historical site of the 'Guishan War.'
Food: Recommended spots include Gangxing Seafood Restaurant at 37 Xianghai Road (choose fresh seafood directly) and Hanglong Tea House (famous for beef rice noodles). Avoid peak dining hours for a better experience.
Best Time to Visit: November to April, with its mild climate, is ideal for enjoying both the beach and historical sites.
Guishan Island is a special destination where you can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy both nature and history.
