Hello! I’m Bai Yang, starting this week, I’ll be sharing travel destinations from Chengdu.

This time, it’s the "Western Auto City and Gateway to Bashu"—👉🏻 Ziyang.
35,000 years ago, the ancient "Ziyang Man" created the civilization of the Tuo River Basin here. It’s also a small city easily confused with Zizhong and Jianyang.
Spend a day here easily for just 100 RMB.

🔈【How to Get There from Chengdu】
🚇: Take Chengdu Metro Line S3 or a high-speed train from Xindudong to Ziyang North Station.

1️⃣【One-Day Itinerary in Ziyang】
Ziyang North Station → Ziku Mountain Park → East City Ziku Pagoda → Ziyang Museum → Sanxian Cultural Park (Fangxian Bridge) → Exit C of Happiness Avenue or Ziyang North Station
🎫 All the above attractions are free and accessible by bus.

2️⃣【Recommended Attractions】
✅ **Ziku Mountain Park**:
A short bus ride from the high-speed rail station, this is the first Chinese character-themed park.
The park slopes gently uphill, with its most iconic structure being the 43.8-meter-tall Ziku Pavilion. There’s also a large lawn blooming with seasonal flowers.
✅ **East City Ziku Pagoda**:
Initially seen in photos standing in the Tuo River, I was surprised to find it surrounded by flowers and lush greenery up close.
This hexagonal, five-story hollow brick pagoda offers an intimate glimpse into ancient architecture. Do you enjoy exploring such historic structures?
✅ **Ziyang Museum**:
One of the better small-city museums I’ve visited.
Highlights include:
- The 35,000-year-old Ziyang Man skull fossil
- A bronze carriage hailed as the "First Han Dynasty Chariot"
- The 3-meter-tall "Purple Moon Guanyin," blending youthful charm with divine grace
Rivaling provincial museums in quality!
✅ **Sanxian Cultural Park**:
Resembling Chengdu’s Anshun Covered Bridge, it’s even more stunning from an aerial view.
