Zizhong, this treasure city in southern Sichuan, can surprisingly be toured 80% in just one day, which is simply a boon for travelers! 🚖🚗🚙🚕🚌🏎
Yongqing Temple in Chonglongshan Park, this ancient temple quietly perched atop the mountain, was built during the Tang Dynasty. Every brick and tile exudes the fragrance of history. Although the temple no longer rings its bells, standing at the mountain top and gazing at the misty fog, the tranquility and comfort are simply refreshing!
The Cliff Inscriptions at Junzi Spring, one of Zhang Daqian's 'Eight Views of Zizhong,' although severely weathered, evoke a sense of historical vicissitudes, making one marvel at the power of time. The nearby characters 'Ball Court' are a testament to the changes during the Republic of China period.
Wen Temple and Wu Temple, with a combined ticket, although there are not many intangible cultural heritage displays, the standing statue of Confucius in Wen Temple and the Emperor's Hall in Dacheng Hall are rare cultural treasures. The plaques with comments from Lin Sen and Chiang Kai-shek in Wu Temple are also witnesses of history.
The century-old Gothic church, although not open to the public, the glimpse through the door crack is enough to feel its sanctity and solemnity.
The internet-famous fly restaurant at Tongfeng Restaurant, the taste is good, although the flavor is single, but the authentic taste of Zizhong is definitely worth a try.
The Qing Dynasty buildings on Xinzheng Street, designed to mimic Chengdu's Quanye Market, every brick and tile reveals the charm of history.
