The transportation is finally set after the holiday is booked, so it can be much cheaper, and the GL8 luxury version is only more than 2,000 for 8 days, which is very cost-effective. In fact, I am also glad that I finally chose northern Sichuan, and when I set off on July 19, there was heavy rain and mudslides in Gansu and western Sichuan, and there was no way to travel at all.

Affected by continuous heavy rain, the Dagu Glacier Scenic Area has been closed since July 17, and it seems that it will not be open until the end of July.
A lap is 8 days of driving, about 1,400 kilometers, with two longer distances in the middle, and the others are more reasonable.

The reason why I chose to stay here was to pick up my father-in-law at Tianfu Airport at night, and to see Panda and Sanxingdui the next day, both in the east area, even if the hotel is not very convenient (there is no direct subway access), our rental car does not affect travel.

The spicy pot is much gentler than Chongqing, and it is still a little numb at the end. The giant panda breeding base is very large, if you finish all the shopping, it may take a day, considering the weekend + summer vacation + hot summer, it is expected that there should be a lot of people, and the pandas should be very lazy, so I bought a morning ticket, and the information feedback from my wife is that there are super many people, which may not be the right season to see pandas.

Sanxingdui is very different from the Central Plains culture we come into contact with every day, and the craftsmen of the ancient Shu Kingdom at the same time as the Shang Dynasty are really open-minded, and there are many specific functions of things, which we cannot fully understand to this day.

After coming out of Sanxingdui, drive to Mianzhu. Mianzhu City, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Sichuan Province, is managed by Deyang City, and is a famous hometown of New Year paintings, famous wines, eco-tourism, and folk art in the country. "Jiannan Spring" flourished in the Tang Dynasty, "Mianzhu New Year Painting" originated from the Northern Song Dynasty, and "Zhao Po Tea" was a tribute tea in the Tang Dynasty, all three of which were collectively known as "Mianzhu Three Absolutes". Of course, the most famous is Jian Nanchun.

The location of the hotel is relatively easy to find, and it is more convenient to eat nearby, I basically browsed all the hotels in Mianzhu, it can be said that the price is high, the room is also very large, the hygiene is okay, but there are many flying insects, which makes people feel not very comfortable.
Dinner was chosen at Xinyulong Grouper Village (Mianzhu Store), which is more than a 10-minute walk from the hotel. I ate a little spicy in Chengdu last night, so I chose a relatively light one today. We ordered a set meal for 4 people, and the boss of 6 of us said it wasn't enough to eat, and in the end we still didn't finish it.
The grouper is actually a black fish, and the set meal is 4 pounds of grouper, which feels like almost 20 plates. The dipping peppers and chopped peppers were delicious, the fish was fresh, and the set meal also included fish balls and chosho, and later added a hand-rolled noodles, which was also delicious. I really tried hard and didn't finish eating!
After eating, I walked back to the hotel, and on the way I met a pharmacy and bought 3 oxygen tanks, but I didn't seem to use them much.
My wife and I went out for a walk and ate again, and walked from the hotel to Jiannanchun Group to feel the comfort of a small city. I saw a lot of Jian Nanchun series of liquor that I had never seen before. The billboards in this small town are basically uniform, and the pace of life is also very slow.

The bridge-tunnel ratio of Mianmao Highway is very high, the connected tunnel group, the speed limit is 40 km/h, and the distance of less than 80 kilometers has been running for almost 2 hours, because it is a rental car, and it does not dare to speed. Relatively speaking, the Lanmo line is in better condition.
On the way, you can see Diexi Haizi, surrounded by green mountains, the lake shore is overgrown with green grass, the lake water is rippling, and the scenery is beautiful and charming. Because of the recent rain in Sichuan, the water is relatively turbid, which affects the scenery.
Diexi Haizi is a dammed lake formed by the Diexi earthquake in 1933. I checked the information: in 1933, a magnitude 7.5 earthquake occurred, Diexi City was an ancient border town, and it fell almost vertically within a few minutes of the earthquake, with a depth of 500~600 meters, and all 21 Qiang villages in Diexi City and nearby were destroyed, with nearly 10,000 casualties, the surrounding mountains collapsed, and the Min River was cut off, forming 11 plateau dammed lakes, which was the shocking "Diexi Earthquake" in history.

Unexpectedly delicious, the boss is enthusiastic, chatting with us while eating, the sweet and sour pork is actually used with two-knife meat, the cooking is very regular, it is worth recommending.
In the afternoon, go to Munigou Scenic Area.The scenic spot is composed of two parts: Zaga Gou and Erdaohaigou, and the landscape of the scenic area is a melting calcium waterfall, a circular pond waterfall, a plateau dissolved collapsed lake, stone stalactites, karst caves, calcified remains, primeval forests, alpine meadows, sulfur hot springs, cherished animals and plants, Tibetan Buddhist temples, and unique Tibetan village customs, and is famous for its five unique "waterfalls, lakes, hot springs, stalactites, and folk customs".
Because of the time, we chose Zaga Gully, which is its main attraction and enjoys the reputation of "China's first calcified waterfall", featuring flowing water and calcified double waterfalls.
The Zaga Waterfall Scenic Area has a total length of 2 kilometers, a total of 16 scenic spots, mainly based on the landscape of waterfalls of different shapes, sizes, heights, widths, and narrows. After coming out of the scenic spot, after passing through the long Munigou Tunnel, you can turn back to the Lanmo Line and arrive in Songpan County.
At night, I stayed at the Songpan Yilaiju Inn, located in Jin'an Town, Songpan. The hotel did not have a parking space, so I parked the car in front of the hotel, and when I went out at night, I could only walk to the ancient city of Songpan, for fear that there would be no place to park when I came back. Check in on the first floor of the homestay, the sofa at the entrance is a little shabby, a little worried, but when the door card opens the room, it is very amazing, clean and tidy, modern and simple, hygiene is also very clean, there is such a high-quality homestay in Songpan County is highly recommended.
Dinner was on the good stove next to the B&B, and I ordered a yak soup pot for 4-5 people.
In a large pot, there are beef short ribs, beef hoof tendons, beef offal and beef, the portion is really sufficient, and there are still a lot left for the 6 of us. The yak meat was also tastier than expected, with a lot of mushrooms, and the beef bone soup was also very fresh.
After dinner, we walked to the ancient city of Songpan together, there is a trail along the Minjiang River, and the Minjiang River has been very turbulent due to the recent heavy rain.
Songpan, ancient name Songzhou, is a historical city in Sichuan Province and a famous border town in history, known as the "gateway to western Sichuan", and was a place for military use in ancient times. Outside the north gate of the ancient city, there are statues of Songtsen Gampo and Princess Wencheng. The reason is that during the Tang Dynasty, Songtsen Gampo sent envoys to Chang'an to marry, and the envoy was detained by the state officials when passing through Songzhou, and Songtsen Gampo sent troops to attack Songzhou, and Songzhou was defeated by the guards, and later Tang Taizong sent a large army to fight with Tibet at Chuanzhu Temple, and Tubo sent envoys to send gold to seek intermarriage and reconciliation. This led to the later Tang Fan marriage.
The ancient city is not big, with a main street, and you can go to the end with a main road from the north gate to the south gate. Compared with many ancient cities in China, it is not very commercial, but it still retains the simple folk customs and street buildings, and also retains a lot of life, and there are some clothing stores, hardware stores, and a Xinhua bookstore next to it.

After breakfast, today's main itinerary is to go to Huanglong Scenic Area.
Starting from the homestay, follow the Lanmo line to Chuanzhu Temple, and then turn to Pingsong Road to the scenic spot. Huanglong Scenic Area has four parking lots, numbered from one to four Among them, parking lot No. 3 is the main bus boarding point, where tourists can take the bus to the scenic ropeway, which is also right at the exit of the scenic spot, so we navigated and stopped at parking lot No. 3 Parking lot 4 has direct access to the entrance of the ropeway, but it is quite far from the exit when you come down.
Huanglong Ropeway is more expensive, 80 yuan a ticket, you can choose to hike up and down the mountain or one-way walking one-way ropeway, it is not recommended to go up and down the ropeway, so that you can miss a lot of beautiful scenery. Combined with itself, the majority of choices are chosen, the ropeway when going up the mountain, avoiding the uncomfortable reaction when climbing the mountain on the plateau, walking down the mountain can enjoy the scenery, so that there is no need to walk a few kilometers of mountain road after getting off the ropeway.
We passed from Songpan County, and when we arrived, it was about 9 o'clock, and the ropeway had already been queuing for more than half an hour. After about 4 minutes of driving on the ropeway, you will reach the top of the mountain, and it is not far from the ropeway where the sightseeing bus departs. If you get off the ropeway and walk directly to the colorful pond for more than half an hour, if you take a sightseeing bus, you only need to get off the bus and walk another 800 meters to get there. Because of the high altitude, it is recommended to arrange the itinerary a little easier. Sightseeing tickets are 5,000 per day, if you don't want to be too tired from the journey, or if you are traveling with the elderly and children, it is recommended to buy them in advance.
After getting off the sightseeing bus, It is the horseshoe beach and the moon reflection pool, which belong to the calcified waterfall and the water is clear.
Walking up the mountain leads to the colorful pool, which is the core attraction of Huanglong Scenic Area. After tens of thousands of years of accumulation, a solid calcium carbonate enclosure has been formed here with a thickness of tens of centimeters and a height of more than 10 centimeters to 2 meters. These calcium carbonate enclosures not only provide strong support for the pool, but also keep the water clear.The water in the pool comes from alpine snowmelt and underground springs, and the water quality is clear and pure, rich in various minerals and trace elements. These special natural conditions make the water in the colorful pool show different colors, as if it is a color palette of nature.
The yellow dragon colorful pool is known as the "Yaochi of the world". However, when climbing up to enjoy the beautiful scenery, there are indeed high reaction symptoms, the head smells the sound, and the steps are particularly heavy.
After coming down from the colorful pool, All the way down the stairs, the height is not so obvious.
The jade and emerald pool is as calm as a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds and the surrounding snow-capped mountains.
The golden sand is paved, mainly golden yellow or inlaid with milky white, gray, dark green and other color blocks on the slope, flowing a thin layer of water waves. The water quilt often ripples silver due to the scaly layering of travertine on the slope, like a golden river flowing with silver water. The clusters of water willows and mountain flowers scattered on the travertine stream are like colorful boats drifting in the river, and people travel here with a sense of floating.
Waterfall Radiance, It is the largest travertine waterfall in Huanglong Scenic Area. The border stone dam is 60 meters long, the waterfall is 14 meters high and 68 meters wide, and the waterfall cascades down to form a trapezoidal waterfall.
Huanglong Welcome Pool is located 500 meters away from the entrance of Huanglong Scenic Area, which is composed of 350 exquisite and unique pools with bright water quality. The Huanglong welcome pool has a peculiar shape and bright colors, staggered, surrounded by mountains, lush trees, wildflowers blooming in the mountains, and colorful butterflies flying. The stone paths in the mountains twist and turn, dotted with viewing pavilions, adding to the interest.
After passing the welcome pool, I arrived at the exit of the scenic spot, came out at almost 1 o'clock at noon, and drove back to Chuanzhusi Town for dinner. It was late, the chef re-prepared the ingredients, Huanglong exerted too much physical strength, although the ingredients were very average, but everyone still ate more fragrantly, and they forgot to take pictures.
I originally planned to go around the town of Chuanzhusi in the afternoon and check in to Chuanzhusi. Chuanjuji Temple, also known as Zhuozangji Temple, was founded in 1270 and is a holy place full of religious and cultural heritage. It is built on the mountain, and the scenic area combines magnificent temple architecture, mysterious cultural heritage and magnificent natural scenery.
However, everyone has different high reactions, and after eating, they decided to drive directly to the homestay booked at Jiuzhaigoukou to check-in.
Fill up at the Chuanzhusi gas station, this is the first time from Chengdu to refuel.

The homestay can be transferred from the cultural and creative space intersection of Gokou Jiuzhai and Zhangzha Treasure Box. The owner of the homestay is also Tibetan, and the appearance of this homestay is also Tibetan, and the dinner is mainly yak hot pot.
We booked 3 rooms, and I personally think it's best to book a room here, which is quiet, spacious, and the décor is more modern.
My parents and father-in-law lived here, and I didn't take pictures, I used the hotel's promotional photos, but I went to see it myself, and there was even a balcony where I could drink tea.

Many attractions come in the wrong season, Jiuzhaigou should go again in autumn, and then plan to go to Dagu Glacier in late autumn.
