Tengxuan

Teng Xuan paper originated in the Qing Dynasty. Because it was produced in Guanyintang, a suburb northwest of the city, it was once known as "Guanyintang Big White Paper." It was also named "Yu Xuan" because a local merchant named Yu specialized in Teng Xuan paper. Even the great master Xu Beihong considered Teng Xuan paper an excellent choice for painting. In 1980, relevant Chinese authorities officially approved the name "Xuehua Brand" for the paper produced by the Tengchong Xuan Paper Factory for painting and calligraphy, and it is now sold nationwide and internationally.
