There are many mosquitoes and it is easy to be bitten. You must spray mosquito repellent in advance. If I have the opportunity to come to Wenchang next time, I should come here to buy a coconut and lie in a hammock to rest for an afternoon.

The blue sky, blue sea, golden beach and lush coconut trees are really pleasing to the eyes. However, if you go there at noon, it will be very sunny. There are beverage stands in the coconut trees where you can rest, but there are so many mosquitoes that I feel the mosquito repellent doesn't work at all. However, it may be because outsiders are more attractive to mosquitoes, because I saw locals drinking leisurely in the coconut trees. Coconut milk chicken is highly recommended. The tender chicken soaked in coconut milk is really nice.

Transportation: Starting from Haikou, you can choose to drive or take public transportation to Dongjiao Coconut Grove. The self-driving route is: Haikou-Wenchang-Dongjiao Town-Dongjiao Coconut Grove, which takes about 3 hours. The public transportation route is: Take the shuttle bus to Wenchang at Haikou South Bus Station or Haikou East Station, then transfer to the shuttle bus to Dongjiao Town in Wenchang. It was scorching hot when I went there, so there was a hot sea breeze from time to time, which was quite good. If you want to play there, you may have to go there in the afternoon. When you go to eat coconut chicken, you are in the scenic area, no tickets are required, and large coconut forests are hard to see in ordinary places.

The day we went there was the worst weather day in Wenchang. It was cloudy and we finally arrived at the "tourist destination" we had "longed for" after half an hour on the bus. There are limited facilities for recreation on the beach. The core area is not large, about 100 acres. Dongjiao Coconut Grove Scenic Area is an ancient scenic spot in Wenchang. The facilities are old and the supporting facilities are simple. It is far away from the urban area. You can go to Coconut Grand View Garden to see coconuts and Gaolong Bay to see the beach. The scenery is far inferior to Tongguling, so... the recommendation index can only be given two stars.
